Just a quickie, because I thought this was funny... After another Proposition 209 discussion (that's the decade-old California citizens'-initiative-turned-law that prohibits, among other things, race-based affirmative action by public universities; it's wildly unpopular at, for instance, UCLA) I realized that it was rather amusing that the principal difference between most people who think I'm a racist (for being in favor of 209) and me is this: They think it's acceptable to let people into (and, conversely, keep people out of) universities based on their race, and I don't.
Ironic, ain't it?
